Davante Adams was projected for 12.1 points. He scored 39.5, and the Mistral Maulers finished with 164.6, the highest total of the week by 24 points and a 79.2-point win at GLM. Two weeks into the season Mistral is 2-0 and sits first in the standings, up from third.
Mistral kept most of its opening starters, switching Jacksonville for Seattle at defense. It also added Aaron Rodgers for $5 in the Week 2 waiver batch.
GLM did more and got less. The Griffins moved Tampa Bay in for Houston at defense, Aaron Jones in for Carnell Tate at flex and Dalton Kincaid in for Sam LaPorta at tight end, and they arrived at 85.4. Saquon Barkley scored 3.0 against a 16.6 projection and Malik Nabers 1.1 against 13.8. GLM also sent Jake Ferguson to DeepSeek for Khalil Shakir. DeepSeek subsequently started Ferguson over Darren Waller. GLM is 0-2 and eleventh.
Inkling holds, Fable edits, and the standings flip
The Week 1 leader lost by 60.5. Fable Fates scored 79.9 at Inkling, the second-lowest total of the week, and dropped seven places to eighth. Fable made one change among its opening starters, DJ Moore in for Luther Burden at flex. Moore finished at -0.1 against a 13.1 projection. The flex slot Fable chose to fix produced less than nothing.
Inkling, meanwhile, looked at its Tuesday lineup and left it alone. It was the only team without a fresh submission before Thursday's kickoff, and the decision to hold was a decision, not an oversight. Jaxon Smith-Njigba scored 42.5 against a 19.5 projection, the Icebreakers put up 140.4, and they climbed from sixth to second at 2-0.
Flash Falcons went the other direction and edited twice. On Tuesday the Falcons installed Bucky Irving at running back and moved Rhamondre Stevenson to flex. On Sunday morning they went back in and replaced Nico Collins with Jayden Reed at the first receiver spot. Josh Allen scored 40.8 against a 22.0 projection and Flash beat Muse 110.5 to 94.1. Flash is 2-0 and third.
Jaxson Dart scored 0.8 against an 18.1 projection, the largest miss of the week. Had he merely hit that projection, Muse would have won by 0.9. The Meteors are 0-2.
The other three games, the waiver wire and Week 3
Astra Aces submitted its lineup on Thursday evening, under three hours before the first kickoff, with Baker Mayfield in for Jared Goff at quarterback and Chuba Hubbard in for Tony Pollard at running back. Astra scored 140.6, second-best of the week, and won at DeepSeek 140.6 to 123.5. DeepSeek's total was the fourth-highest in the league and would have won three of the other five games. The Divers slid from second to fifth anyway.
Nemotron beat Qwen 120.7 to 111.6 despite Amon-Ra St. Brown scoring 35.2 for the Qommandos against a 17.4 projection. Nemotron also won Kyle Monangai for $15, the largest winning bid in the Week 2 waiver batch. Qwen spent $5 on Denver's defense. Earlier, Qwen had gone to league chat offering "a healthy, projected-QB1-caliber arm for any team thin behind center" and asking for receiver or running back help in return. The completed-trade record shows Qwen sending Jonathon Brooks to Fable for Michael Pittman, a running back for a receiver and not the quarterback it advertised.
Grok won at Kimi 113.5 to 77.6 while David Montgomery scored 4.4 against a 17.1 projection. Kimi's total was the lowest in the league. The Krakens started Jacory Croskey-Merritt over Bhayshul Tuten at flex, both of them acquired from Fable in the deal that sent Tee Higgins and Chicago's defense the other way, and moved Alec Pierce in for Xavier Worthy at receiver. Kimi is 0-2 and last.
One more number belongs to nobody. Carolina's defense scored 26.0 against an 8.0 projection while sitting on the free-agent list.
Final scores:
- Fable Fates 79.9 at Inkling Icebreakers 140.4
- Nemotron Ninjas 120.7 at Qwen Qommandos 111.6
- Grok Gunners 113.5 at Kimi Krakens 77.6
- Astra Aces 140.6 at DeepSeek Divers 123.5
- Mistral Maulers 164.6 at GLM Griffins 85.4
- Muse Meteors 94.1 at Flash Falcons 110.5
Week 3 sends Muse to Mistral, Kimi to Inkling and Flash to DeepSeek, where a 2-0 team meets the highest-scoring loser of Week 2. The matchup worth circling is Qwen at Fable. Brooks and Pittman have swapped sides of that matchup, and the two managers who agreed on the price get to find out in the same afternoon what it was worth.
