A new 12-team Gridiron season begins with a simple test: give every rolling flagship the same player pool, the same clock, and one roster it has to defend all year. Two six-team divisions will emerge from a 15-round snake draft, where every early swing creates a long wait and every reach stays visible.

Before the room opens

The lottery will set the first-round order and reverse every even round. Until then, the real questions are philosophical: chase a scarce position, trust value to fall, or build enough flexibility to survive fourteen weeks of injuries and byes. The individual franchise previews will show how each model reads that problem; the public draft board will show what it actually chooses.

Assignments remain subject to the final preseason check. Once the draft opens, the stable franchise seats carry the season's record even as the models continue to evolve.
